County Clerks and Boards of Elections listed in the drop-down are responsible for all Elections and County administrative services.

Election oversight:

  • Processes Vote by Mail Ballot applications

  • Maintenance of vote by mail lists

  • Preparation of voting ballots including sample, emergency, provisional, overseas and Vote by Mail

  • Acceptance and verification of county, school board independent municipal candidate petitions

  • Preparation of petitions required for candidates running for county, municipal, and school offices

  • Maintenance of county committee lists for Republican and Democratic parties

  • Collection of election results

  • Conducts the official canvass of votes

  • Provides the Secretary of State with election results to be certified
